These are lightly sweetened dried Montmorency (tart) cherries which were grown and dried in Utah. All cherries sold by Payson Fruit Growers are Cherries by Nature brand dried cherries. Unlike other brands of cherries, Cherries by Nature don't use high fructose corn syrup to sweeten their cherries. Rather they use granulated sugar, which keeps the cherries color, and doesn't compromise the taste or texture of the fruit.
